When answering phone call on phone, the call is rerouted to Venu 2 Plus

When people call me and I respond to the call on my iPhone (not on the watch), the call starts but my iPhone keeps vibrating and I cannot hear anyone and they cannot hear me. Restarting the watch and iPhone works but it's indeed highly unpractical. Turning off Bluetooth on the iPhone also solves the issue, but again not why I bought the watch... I am on iPhone 12 (iOS 15.4.1), Venu 2 Plus FW 8.12 (it tells me it's up to date)

  • Agree - if you turnoff Bluetooth the problem goes away.  Totally impractical for me as well.

  • I am having a similar issue but with "phone calls" enabled for my Venu 2 Plus device, it interferes with other Bluetooth devices acquiring the call. The other Bluetooth device connects to the phone but won't "connect" to the call. When I deactivate "phone calls" on Venu 2 Plus, other Bluetooth devices work as normal. As already noted by others, this is frustrating because I bought this watch for it's great activity features but also because it was advertised as a smartwatch. So far, Google Assistant doesn't work as advertised, phone calls on the watch apparently has a major bug, and notifications have been wonky. I truly hope the smartwatch experience improves but this phone calls issue is major. Any real fix will be greatly appreciated.

  • I’m having perhaps a different issue? When wearing the Venu 2 Plus, some of my calls don’t ring on my iPhone 13 at all, but a banner that’s says user busy appears. I’m missing important phone calls and don’t know it because phone doesn’t ring! Doesn’t happen with forerunner 955 or Felix 7. Help! I love this watch but this is beyond annoying.

  • All- If you are experiencing this after the 12.13 update, please start a new thread.

Since this is a different issue, can you please start a new thread as well? Or reach out to your local Garmin Product Support agent. Thank you!
