Will the sleep index generate the info for this or do I need to wear my Fenix 8 for it to populate?
Will the sleep index generate the info for this or do I need to wear my Fenix 8 for it to populate?
Hello!
My Apologies, I read a document incorrectly.
The support for the Health Status feature is not compatible with the Index Sleep Monitor as of yet. The Venu 4 is the only device that is currently compatible…
Thanks nicorellius. That makes sense. I think it is a bug because if I wear my Forerunner 265 I will get health data. The ISM though reports no data. As the feature is still in beta I hope Garmin addresses…
It is so ridiculous that the ISM data doesn’t populate this new health status info since it is the same gen 5 monitor and collects all the same data as the watch. Come on Garmin.

Totally agree
Even more so, ISM is a device designed for sleep monitoring, and Health Status relies solely on sleep data. C’mon, Garmin, is ISM just a hobby?
Garmin already answered: the ISM is NOT YET compatible
it requires a firmware update. So until, this update is released, no data will be populated using the ISM even so, it has all the required data
The feature, according to GC anyway, is still BETA. My hope is once the BETA kinks are worked out, Garmin will roll the feature out to the supported device mentioned on DC Rainmaker's website.
So far though, between the Lifestyle Logging and the Health Status feature, I like the direction Garmin is going in.
Could wearing the index sleep only since released be why I’m not even getting the health status beta option ? I’ll try to just use my x1 for sleep tonight and see if the option appears.
100% it is. Garmin have said that it is watch only. But you won’t be able to do it for one night. It requires multiple weeks of data from your watch. Again, I think this is dumb because the ISM is literally the same gen 5 sensor collecting the same data.
