New Health Status feature

Will the sleep index generate the info for this or do I need to wear my Fenix 8 for it to populate?

  • Great question. Wondering the same thing. Looks like the two overlap on most of the metrics. Though the health status only works if it has all the data. Not sure the ISM collects oxygen saturation.

  • Mine hasn't populated yet. I do realize that it is a "BETA" but still...

  • You need a watch to get all the data, but you don't have to wear it. I use the sleep monitor constantly and keep the Fenix 8 turned on. When syncing, both are queried in Connect, and the Fenix calculates the values that the sleep monitor doesn't have – it works flawlessly.

  • Interesting. I have the ISM and I wear it every night, and I take my Fenix 7 Pro off and lay it right next to my phone. After some research, it seems the devices collect all the relevant data. I wonder why the health status in GC is not showing any data?

  • That interesting its not populating. Be nice if Garmin can chime in on this

  • So glad to see others asking questions about this too.  I wear the ISM to bed nightly and was disappointed to not see any data populated in GC.

Tonight I will forego the ISM and wear my watch to see if the Health Status feature populates.

Agreed, would be nice to hear from Garmin if the ISM will populate this data.  Especially since the primary wearable (ie the watch) will overwrite the ISM data.

  • Update.  I wore my 265 to bed.  This morning the health status feature reported "All your metrics are in range".  There were no stats given for any of the criteria though.  I gather this is because the health status feature needs three or four weeks of data.

Will give the ISM a go tonight.

  • Ive been using my ISM every night and nothing yet. Doesn't the ISM use the elevate 5 sensor

  • Do you have any updates for this?  I wore my ISM last night and the health status feature reported this morning that I need to wear my primary device for the stats to be captured.  So it looks like the ISM will not work for the health status feature.  Except I purchased the ISM so I would not have to wear my primary device at night.  Also the ISM is capturing information, such as PulseOx, that my primary device is not.

I realize the health status feature is a currently in Beta status.  So hopefully this feedback will be incorporated to the final version.  Thank you.

  • according to DCRaimaker, it should come to ISM too. Probably it needs a firmware update. And since there is no beta on this device, we need to wait the next official firmware release
