First Night, No Body Battery

My Index Sleep Monitor arrived yesterday and I got it all set up. At bedtime, I put on the Index Sleep and placed my fenix 6X Sapphire on the charger. This morning I woke up and went to take a look in Garmin Connect and saw I didn’t get any body battery metrics. The timeline actually shows that I was active all night. Everything else (sleep, pulse ox, heart rate) seems to have registered properly.

Is there a bug somewhere, or did I do something wrong?

It looks like I’m still running 3.26, I haven’t been prompted for any updates.

  • I’m having a similar issue with resting heart rate. I’m still trying to work out why but, did you turn your fenix off overnight, or put it in Low Power mode? (disconnect phone) I have an epix and in the settings it’s the primary wearable, with no options for the index monitor, so I’m guessing your fenix will be the same. Try turning it off overnight, and syncing your index to connect in the morning before turning it back on. Your fenix might be feeding into your body battery, being the primary device overnight, hence not picking anything up, and ignoring what your index is doing. Odd that it shows active though. I turn off my epix at night and always get body battery following this procedure.

I’m on 3.60, I updated with Garmin Express.

I think there might be issues with TrueUp.

  • Did you have to do anything special to get Express to recognize it? Mine doesn’t seem to be picking it up.

I was going to try powering off my fenix tonight, I assumed it would have known it was charging but here we are

  • Disconnected & connected it a few times, it was very temperamental but eventually found it. It’s difficult to know what’s happening without a screen but watch the LED, then you’ll know when somethings happening. Also enable USB file access in the Index settings when it’s connected to Connect mobile

  • Mine has been working fine so far for the 3 or 4 nights since I started using it. I did have a FW update as soon as I set it up. I don't do anything special, just take the watch off (leaving it turned on), put on the sleep band. In the morning I put the watch on and then take off the sleep band.

  • Does your 7 day resting HR match on your device with that showng in Connect Mobile & Web?

  • The values appear the same, but the scale on the Y-axis of the watch is such that the chart itself appears visually different.

  • Night Two

Second night is a bit better, stress values show correctly but still no body battery.

i was able to get a firmware update to 3.6 using Garmin Express yesterday evening.

At bedtime I put on the Sleep band, took off my watch and left it powered on and face down. In the morning, put the watch back on and take off the sleep band.

  • No, so far it's been consistently out by 1bpm.

  • It's not just me then.... Thanks

  • Night Three

I synced both devices at bedtime and powered my watch completely off, still no overnight body battery metrics. With the watch off, however, I did notice the Garmin Connect app showed live heart rate data off the Sleep Monitor.
