Impossible to 'connect'

Is this issue still really going on from post from 3 years ago, Ive spent 3 hours trying all different ways to try and connect this stupid machine to my Garmin Connect. It finds it, you get the code then it fails to connect.

I've disabled bluetooth and let the Garmin app able it, restarted phone, app, bluetooth, deleted other devices.  But it just wont do it and Ive tried 3 different devices.  Any solutions anyone please?

This thing is literally a paperweight until it connects. Dumbest thing Garmin have ever made.

If I hadn't literally just paid for it, id be throwing it off a cliff. Slight smile

  • Well  what steps has Garmin taken to solve this problem ? This problem exists for more than 4 years according to the posts on this forum. Are you able to talk to the designers or technical department. Or is your manager able to talk to them in order to solve this problem ?

Mod note: , I've removed several duplicate posts.

  • I have a forerunner965, edge1040 and a subscription to the foodcoach app. Which `i need to feed the data fromd these devices and the S2 Scale. The first two work nicely. But the scale doesn't. Then you loook further and you see that the logfile is encrypted. `so no trouleshooting that way. In these four years with these problems `garmin has never ever gave information about what is done. If you pay and the are problems you may talk on a forum with the Garmin chatbots like Garmin-Tracy.  They keep the customers as stupid as possible. And it works ! What a *** comapy. Time to rise and to go viral with this idiotcy.

  • Hi I have the Garmin connect app which is all it says u need. I use it with my Garmin watch no issues but although it says the scales are there it says the wi-fi connection will awaken when they go to use them but it doesn't!

  • They will not listen. Maybe a consumer organisation/ television can help you.

  • I'm just going to send it back for a refund and get out of the rabbit hole I've been down for the last few days!!! Lots of other options out there for less money and less hassle! Blush

  • Maybe thats the best thing todo.

  • Same problem and I will do the same: return the product. Too many hours wasted.

  • Great description. It is what happening to me. The service desk is quiet because they don’t have a resolution. It’s terrible that the scale destroys the reputation of the company. I love my garmin watch but this experience made me change my perception towards the brand.

  • I just can't get over how it's allowed to continue to be on sale. They eventually replied to me and sent me the same advice that's on their online help! On the other hand what a brilliant job to jusGrinsend out generic advice on loop and get paid for it!!! Must start looking at their job vacancies!!Grin

  • Yea. This bad product, well not even the product, the bad ownership of a known bad device is enough for me to leave Garmin.  It really is.  Gotta say I had really good times with my old Suunto and Polar.  And Im sure I can make them work for me.
