Index Smart Scale entire screen flashing white

Index Smart Scale, entire screen flashing white. Only a month old and it happened over night so no one was using it at the time. Had to take batteries out to fix. Why did that happen?

Now we're well into 2022, but the story repeats in my case.

1. Same here, new product out of the box and next morning it stood there flashing, only fixed by taking batteries out. And once back it, after a while, same goes on.

Haha, fair enough. Won’t hold my breath then about Garmin solutions to the problem unless someone else in the clientele has already found one.

for what its worth, called Garmin who asked to send it to repairs or ask replacement via retailer...unknown issue

Mine started today. Took out batteries and put back in. Seems okay again. Maxell that came with supposedly good till 2025

I have just faced the same issue on my brand new Garmin Index S2 scale (unboxed yesterday) with SW Version 2.08. To get rid of the problem I have removed and reinserted the batteries - and the scale seems to work again. Does anyone have a real fix for this problem or do I have to return the scale?

First time I ignored it. But now (after the second time) I am researching for a fix better than forced battery plug-out.

And I have to say: thank God that Garmin did not design the device with a rechargeable battery ;)
