Thank you for the continued discussion about the Index S2. We continue to investigate reports of inaccurate body composition metrics to confirm that the Index S2 is working as designed. One thing to note is that the Index S2 uses updated body composition algorithms than can cause differences in body composition metrics when comparing to the original Garmin Index Smart Scale or other non-Garmin smart scales. Why Is My Body Composition Data Different on Index S2 Compared to Index Smart Scale?
We recommend viewing body composition metrics overtime to determine trends. These trends will let you know if you are moving in the right direction to meeting your weight and fitness goals.
As of right now, we believe that all the scales we have investigated are working as intended but we will continue to investigate these reports.
