Why should I buy an Index BPM?

Hi everyone,

I’m considering getting the Index BPM to keep all my health data in one place. But after looking into it, I’m wondering:

Garmin Connect doesn’t seem to include blood pressure in training readiness, recovery, stress analysis or other insights.

The data visualization (dots or bars instead of a proper line graph) isn’t very helpful for spotting trends over time.

Other apps offer clearer graphs and export options that seem more useful from a medical perspective.

So my question is:

What’s the real benefit of tracking blood pressure in Garmin Connect if the data isn’t actually used in the system’s health or performance metrics?

Would love to hear your thoughts – especially if you’re already using the Index BPM.

Thanks!

  • From my casual knowledge (or lack of) of the area, I don't believe that sparse, pointwise measurements of BP will have any relevance to the training and health metrics that you describe.

The value for me is simply that the measurements get automatically synced and logged after they are taken. Since you can see them in Connect over time periods of your choice, eyeballing them as currently presented works fine for me. Though I don't have any medical conditions here (that I know of...) so the measurements are currently just FYI.
