Batteries empty all the time

I bought a BPM a week ago. Setup and initial use went smoothly.
Yesterday the batteries ran out after about 5 measurements.
I didn't initially think anything of it.
The batteries that came with the device may be too old.
So I inserted new ones... Now they are empty after one measurement.... That's not normal... Does anyone know the problem?

Got a replacement from Garmin within 7 days.
The new unit now works as intended.

I've never experienced this. My Index BPM goes several months before needing new batteries, even with taking daily measurements. I recommend reaching out to Product Support through their website at https://support.garmin.com.

Same with mine at home since a couple of days. I need to replace the index with new batteries each morning. I have noticed that my wifi signal isn't that strong anymore. Maybe there is a problem with my router. The index tries to connect to the wifi and according to the weak signal it is draining the batteries...

Ordered one from Garmin online and hadnt had this issue. I hear you couldnt buy one from the Garmin Store in Miami when I first inquired about this
