Unable to add users after update

My wife and I have our own individual Index BPMs and both of us were added users on each other's devices. That was set up initially and worked with no problem until after the recent update, at which point only the device "owner" appeared on the user screen. When scrolling the owner was the only user. When going through the process of adding users again, although it appeared that the added user was in fact added, the added user did not appear on the user screen and the data was not uploaded to the added user's account. That issue was the same on both devices. Yes, the added user invitation was sent and accepted as per the procedure. Resetting both devices did not fix the issue. I am confident that the proper procedure was followed because, prior to the update, that feature was working fine. Can someone who has updated their device test the add user feature and report back? Thank you.

  • I am trying to add my partner to my Index BPM and the process seems to succeed in the Garmin Connect app however her name never appears on the Index. Have tried removing and inviting her a couple of times. 

  • Thank you. Yes, in a nutshell that's the same issue that I'm having since the recent update.

  • Can someone who has updated their device test the add user feature and report back?
    • I reset the device to defaults using these instructions. This triggered the update once Wi-Fi was connected.
    • After testing my own account and taking a BP reading, I invited my wife using Garmin Connect Web.
    • She logged in to Garmin Connect Web (she does not use the app on her phone) and accepted the invite.
    • Forced a Wi-Fi sync from the device
      • Press any button to turn the BPM
      • Press the menu (bottom) button until you see the Wi-Fi symbol
      • Press the heart (middle) button to sync.
      • Wait for the check mark to appear, signifying a successful sync.
    • My wife then tested it.
      • Press any button to turn on the BPM
      • Press the user (top) button until the correct user appears
      • Press the heart (middle) button to initiate a reading.
      • When completed the check mark appears.
      • She went to her account in Garmin Connect Web and could see the new BP reading. Thumbsup
  • Thank you ! I tried adding my wife, and vice versa, using the Connect web plaftorm and it worked exactly like it's supposed to. Come to think of it, the Connect mobile app was also just updated. I have to think now that the inability to add users via the Connect app may be a bug associated with that update. I'm not sure at this point, but I'm glad that there's a work around. If Garmin - Dan is reading maybe he can initiate an investigation.
