After today's reading, and the regular sync activity via WiFi, I noted an X on the display. The data synced just fine to Garmin Connect. I could not find reference in the manual. Has anyone else experienced this, or have an idea of its meaning?

I see this error as well but syncs to connect just fine.
As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I get the X consistently. However, in my case this error has no impact on transmitting the data to Garmin Connect. Perhaps Garmin doesn't consider this a crucial fix, at is working for the most part.
The X should indicate the following...
As mine is transmitting Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth, it does make it to Garmin Connect a few seconds before the X appears. Nonetheless, it is an annoyance.
You can try submitting the issue to Garmin Support, to hopefully get it a little more traction.
Hi, experienced the exact same issue.: "X" appeared while device synched ok. Reset & reconnected the device. Checkmark returned for some days. Almost sudden, the "X" reappeared.
Just reached out to Garmin support while referencing this threat. Result beint that I "should live with the "X" as long as the device synchs okay".

That’s unfortunate. I’ve been in contact with Garmin Support on this issue and last time I reached out to them they informed me that this issue should be addressed in a forthcoming software update. Garmin-Inder, can you confirm when that might be coming?
Does anyone know if a fix ix is in sight? This thread has been marked as completed, although the issue persists.
The post from Garmin was marked as an answer, not necessarily completed. Nonetheless, the issue does still exist.
FWIW.. Removing the device from Garmin Connect, performing a reset on the device, and then adding it back to my account on Garmin Connect did resolve the 'X' issue for a while. However, it has returned. As far as I can tell, all of my data is transferring even though it presents the 'X' instead of a check mark.
Hi jlgranth, that's been my experience on this since my first post on this thread over a year ago. The X doesn't bother me that much, as the data is uploading to Garmin Connect. I've gone from thinking the X means something went wrong, to meaning "transfer complete."
I did a factory reset of the device which caused the download and installation of the latest firmware update 1.07, as suggested here - I See an X Displayed on My Index BPM Smart Blood Pressure Monitor.
I did a few readings, and the X did not reappear, but we'll see if it comes back.
Update November 3, 2023. Still working flawlessly. Every time I do a reading the check mark, instead of the X is displayed.
