Messages frequently don’t send from the Garmin junior app to my kids Garmin bounce. This features reliability is a major issue for me. Is there something I should be doing differently. Thanks.

I can’t get messages to my kids Garmin bounce with any reliability despite paying the LTE plan.  Why is this so dicey?? It’s a key reason I’ve for the product. Thanks.

  • I am having the exact same issue. I contacted Garmin Australia/NZ for solutions and they had me sent the watch for refurbishing.

    I received the new watch today and the problem is even worst, with no connectivity at all, messages not going through, location not working.

    I'm sorry to say that this makes me not trust Garmin again with any further purchase. We bough this for safety and connection to our kids and it is definitely and unsuitable product.

    I will be returning the watch and asking for a refund of the Kids Smartwatch subscription.

  • I know this is an older thread, but what was the resolution? We have exchanged one bounce for another. I have updated the app, synced and restarted and still have the same problem. Messages are not delivered reliably or timely in either direction. In fact, the only messages that go through are when we are on the same WiFi, when I might just as well holler. If we are more than 100 feet apart, there is no telling if or when a message might go through. Now it has been long enough that I cannot return the device and I’m invited to exchange for a third device.
