varia vision support to be discountinued starting edge 1040.

Just saw the review of DC rainmaker for the edge 1040 and I am dissapointed that it will not longer going to support varia vision. It is really usefull the vision specially on conditions where the edge is not very clear due to dust, light condition etc. Also when doing a training workout I can see other metrics the workout screen does not allow you to see at the same time.

I hope they change the decision.

Echo all the prior posts about lack of VV support. Funny that the new RCT715 Varia Radar Camera includes VV support. Considering that most consider the VV a SAFETY device, that Garmin has decided to drop support on the Edge 1040. Perhaps a new HUD is in the works. Otherwise a bad decision by Garmin. JR

I just noticed that my brand new 1040 is not supporting my Varia Vision. Thinking of returning and contionue using the 1030...

Garmin please find a solution.

Si tu as une montre fenix Garmin elle est compatible avec le VV en parallèle avec ton edge 1040....

Thos could be a temporary workaround but I bought the 1040 to have only one tool when doing bike training.

some guys indicated that with the fenix series, the varia vision was still supported... I just bought a fenix 7 solar....and it connects, but it has error such as constant disconections and unable to set up the datafields on the vv, so basically it is unusuable.... What a waste of money with Garmin
