Had this error pop up twice on my Edge 530 on today's ride. Anyone knows what it means?
I have an RTL515 that's on the latest firmware (3.32).
Thanks

Please Garmin, remove this useless message, it is more dangerous than anything else to have this big warning message !
Never seen during 2 years and since 9.1 FW, it pop up too !
It appears that the introduction of code to support the new Varia RCT715 screwed up the performance of previous versions. While I don't get the 0:9 error, I've noticed another error since the 9.x firmware…
Upgraded to the latest version and set off hopefully on a 3 day trip to test it out.....behaved itself for a day and then got loads of Radar error 0.5 and error 0.15 before it disconnects from the 1030 and needs power off/on to reset.... nothing around me for miles .....so distracting, I turned it off - very disappointing - returning it.
Sorry for not being helpful. But this is the equivalent to the 1202 program alarm on Apollo 11 :-)
I've had this on several rides. The common link appears to be traffic lights! It doesn't happen at all lights but certainly all my episodes have happened just passing them.
Had my 516 for a year without ever having this error. Then yesterday - boom - there it was. With all the sensor disconnects on top (1030 plus on beta) I am getting fed up and seriously considering Wahoo...
I still get this more often than not on rides.
My Varia gets upset when I'm going away from a few (but not most) of the speed signs which use radar (possibly the same basic hardware) to measure vehicle speed and display it. These, I assume, are using a very similar frequency and overload the Varia which is looking for the return signal from its own transmitter. This is a transient problem. The annoying part that the Garmin Edge doesn't automatically clear the message once the overload stops.
For a year, no problems.
The last route, exactly the same route I have already driven about 50 times, suddenly 5 times this error appeared at intervals of several minutes. I did not change anything, the soft in Edge 21.18 the latest official, RCT715 also on the latest 5.10.
What is the issue?
Maybe the issue here is memory card wear, since it occurred only during the last drive and as many as 5 times?
Product support says it's not a problem. I've been emailing them screenshots for the past three years. "WE WON'T FIX THIS BECAUSE OF REASONS!" is the response.
Still happening on the flagship 1050 as well. No hope for a fix in sight.
The Varia I think is working at 24MHz, 26MHz is being used for 5G mobile phone signals. The UK government have barred 5G masts from being near sensitive 24MHz users due to the potential for interference. The increasing occurances are probably due to increased use of 5G and the only resolution would be for Varias to work at a different frequency ie a new model no doubt rather than an update.
