Had this error pop up twice on my Edge 530 on today's ride. Anyone knows what it means?
I have an RTL515 that's on the latest firmware (3.32).
Thanks

Please Garmin, remove this useless message, it is more dangerous than anything else to have this big warning message !
Never seen during 2 years and since 9.1 FW, it pop up too !
It appears that the introduction of code to support the new Varia RCT715 screwed up the performance of previous versions. While I don't get the 0:9 error, I've noticed another error since the 9.x firmware…
Update, I've just seen on an Edge 840 thread that if you're getting this error message it means a defective device, not that the radar is saturated, as claimed above.
Garmin-Maeve I suggest this thread is locked to prevent further confusion.
That's a different error code
I suggest you look at the error message more closely to avoid further confusion
Get this repeatedly on rides with my 1040...different points during the time. Sometimes it happens frequently 2-3 times in a row...then sometimes it will be 20 minutes before another shows up. Latest firmware on both varia and the edge unit. Really annoying.
Might be cars with radar sensors / autonomous driving features. I’ve wondered if these could cause the same issues as the fixed roadside radars.
Doubt it when there are no cars around at all
Call waranty support. Ther sent me a new one for this.
Sounds like a bad batch. Once I provided serial number the system told the agent replacement was needed.
Me too. Strangely enough I wasn’t there so didn’t know that so not sure the sarcastic tone is warrranted. I agree with the others it’s likely to be a faulty unit.
Firmware 3.34 is on Garmin Express. Can't remember the exact wording of the changelog, but it relates to reducing the frequency of timeouts
