RTL515 Battery level in Garmin Varia App

Hi All,

I paired my new RTL515 with an Android phone and an iPhone as well using the Garmin Varia app on both.

On both phones the battery level displayed as yellow, somewhere around 20-30%. The radar was fully charged this morning, the led was solid green when I disconnected from the charger. In the About section on my FR 945 the battery level is 'New'.

I am not sure if the Varia App has a battery level display bug or my item has a battery issue. Could someone check and confirm if their battery level indicator works fine and I need to contact Garmin Support?

    I tried the auto light intensity with an RTL515 and an UT800 connected to an Edge830 the other day. It worked fine, when I covered the sensor the light intensity was increased and faded when I put the Edge under direct sunlight.

    I think the Mobile app uses a combination of the battery status/voltage instead of only relying on the status. It is available for IQ as well, but not sure about the radar voltage specifications. When I have some time I will play a little bit with it.

    The light intensity of the RTL515 changes or the UT800? Garmin support told me that the ambient-light induced light intensity changes is only applicable to the headlight.

    You are right, I tested once again this morning and only the UT800 changed the intensity, the taillight is only switching between the default profiles.

    One day, I checked baterry level in Garmin Varia App before riding. It shows about 80% of battery. After 30min of riding I got alert in my Garmin Edge 830 that batery varia level is low, so I changed RTL515 to flash mode. When I got home (after 2 hours), I leave RTL515 ON and checked the battery status: Varia App still about 80%, Garmin Edge low. After some time, RTL515 switched off because of empty battery.

    It seems to me, that Garmin Varia App don't display correct battery level of RTL515.
