Audio Alert via Garmin Connect

As the audio bleep on my Edge is not very loud I thought I would explore the audio alert function on the Garmin Connect app. As far as I can tell the audio alert replays lap info and navigation alerts but not radar warnings. Did I miss an option to relay the Varia info? (Head unit is an Explore)

Is it possible a Connect IQ app could be programed to pass the Varia alert sound to a smart phone or bluetooth earbud?

Found out by accident last month that if I am also using my Vivoactive 3 watch, it will vibrate when the radar detects a car.

Just throwing that out here.

Interesting post.

I personally have a Fenix 5S + radar rtl510 + Vision and even with the both vibration alert on F5S and Vision i'm not satisfied since as soon as i m over 20kph (almost all the time ...) i just can"t feel these vibrations.

Is there a way to increase the force of these vibrations (F5S and/or Vision) ?

Of course have a sound that alert us on the phone would be the best solution ... i'm a developper, i never tried to develop an app on Connect IQ but i will take a look to see if this is possible

With battery left (in hour) and number of cars that have doubled me, next step : audio alert on the phone ; that part will need an android app i think, we'll see

I have mine paired but it only vibrates when outdoor cycling is activated which requires the GPS which inhales the battery. I use my Edge 1000 with a pathetically weak "beep" for cycling and like others here are looking for the additional notification from the vibration engine or preferably from an IQ app on the Edge to the phones speaker.

Come on Garmin this is basic. The audio alert on the headset is useless most of the time. Push the alert tone to my phone!!
