Garmin Varia Radar Rear Light control via Edge 1000

I've just bought a Garmin Varia Radar Rear Light and paired it with my Edge 1000. It shows up as a Radar device. The Radar Rear Light is running software version 3.60. My Edge 1000 is running software version 14.20.

Is there a way to control the light on/off whilst keeping the radar functionality? I don't have any 'Light Network' menu options on the Edge 1000 and it looks like the light is paired as a radar device and not a light device.

The only options I have when I go to Sensors --> <Radar Device Number> --> Sensor Details --> Alert Settings are:

Color Overlay: On/Off
Tones: On/Off
Vehicle Column: Right/Left

I cannot find any way to control the light output itself. During the daytime I would like to switch off the light output from the Varia Radar Rear Light whilst keeping the radar functionality active.

It's under Lights. There, you should find your radar listed. But for the radar light mode options to appear, you must have your Light Network options set to "Individual".

Unfortunately I cannot see a 'Lights'' option on my Garmin Edge 1000 and neither do I see a 'Light Network' menu option. The RTL 500 is paired as a Radar device in my Edge 1000 and not a light.

I think I may have finally got this working! I had to add a new sensor and it found 'Light'. So I effectively have two sensors added for the RTL 500 - a Radar sensor and a Lights sensor. From the Lights sensor I can set it up as I want.
