Trek/Bontrager Flare RT disconnecting and reconnecting randomly from edge explore 2 during ride after latest update?

Anyone else having this issue? Factory resetting the light doesn't fix, neither does unpairing/forgetting and re-pairing the light. Only seemed to start happening after recent explore 2 updates.

Garmin have problem with controlling lights for months now, no difference if it's Bontrager or their own Varia, or Explore vs high end 1050, no one in Garmin cares because according to the support "it's not a widespread issue" or "call Bontrager, we care only about Varia (but not enough to fix it)".
