Unannounced and undocumented new software 21.18 for Edge Explore 2

Surprise: new software version 21.18 was pushed to my EE2 this morning. No information from Garmin, no change log - Garmin, to keep it polite, this gets everything but the beauty prize!

I'll put this software on hold until more details are unclosed and dare-devils are reporting positive.

  • My Edge Explore 2 with software 21.18 does not suffer the problems you describe, so I think that is an issue with your specific device.
    I'd propose to do a soft reset of the EE2 by from power ON pressing the Power button for 10 to 20 seconds - the unit will restart without loosing settings or user data.
    If this does not help you may do a full reset to factory settings. Note you'll have to restore settings & data so backup first is maybe a good idea.

  • Yep - did a full hard reset to factory settings.  Gonna test again, but bizarre that everything had been working great up until 21.18 using the same cadence, heart rate monitor and phone

  • Touch screen stopped working after auto install of update 21.18 on device purchased only 3 weeks ago!!!! Frustrating. Had to return the device.
