abnormal charging / charging is interrupted while in sleep mode ???

Hi. I have observed something not correct while charging. The scenario in which I am able to repeat this error many times is: the device is in sleep mode, then I connect the USB C charging port (not waking up the device), the Garmin logo and charging icon appear on the screen. After some time (different in each case, random), the device shuts down on its own (the logo and charging icon disappear) and charging is stopped. I then press the Wake up / Power on button and the device is indeed turned off, as the operating system restarts.

Have you observed something similar?

When I connect and start to charge the device in the active state, the charging proceeds correctly to the end (to 100%), or when I connect the charge and then switch off the device the charging also proceeds correctly.

    Hello. Mine is doing the same thing. I will plug the device in over night and it will only partially charge. Did you find a solution to this?

    Hey. Basically, it's a workaround: after plugging in the charger, I turn off the device and then it charges to full , without interrupting charging in the middle.
    I'm a little relieved that you responded in this thread (it's probably some bug in the firmware) strange that more people haven't noticed this yet.

    Def sounds like a bug, but I think relatively few charge the device in sleep mode.  I rarely use sleep mode in any case.   I just power it down and up.   Recording can be resumed after powering it up if it the activity wasn't saved before powering down.

    Same issue here and even after several firmware updates still does it. Power off and plug in charges fine. Plug in while in sleep mode; charging, not, charging, not, etc.

    I've tried many cables and USB power sources. No effect.

    I observe the same issue. Sometimes the device charges completely and sometimes it just reaches something less than 100%. I noticed that swithing it off and not in sleep mode seems to function better but even in this mode sometimes the device doesn't fully charge. 

    I noticed also that leaving the device completely shut off for some days will have some discharge even if not in use or in sleep mode. I think it's a software issue.
