How do I make room? Plugged into Garmin Express, I get "Map Update Available." I hit Install and it says "Not enough memory." Details shows a Trailforks map 149.78 MB. PC says 1.21 GB free space on Garmin drive.
In GE Manage Maps, it shows two checked, Routable Cycle map of Europe and Routable Cycle Map of North America. On the device, it shows 16 maps, one of which is a Trailforks map.
that is true but not a long-term solution. With EU and NA maps + trailforks pre-installed on a brand new $450 device it's ridiculous that you have to delete EU or NA in order to update to latest trailforks…
Agreed! This unit was marketed with having more space to hold all your maps. And now we cannot update. That's poor design from Garmin. And what does these memory costs anyways? They could have easily doubled…
I just ran into this as well. I'd like to have multiple regions on the 840 so I don't risk forgetting to load the one I need for a trip. That said, I don't use Trailforks since I only ride on roads…
