VISIBILITé des MAISONS sur le GARMIN 830

Bonjour

Voir photo ci dessous

Merci

Cordialement

  • The current Edges (including the 830) come with the Garmin Cycle Map (based on Openstreetmap data). The current Edges also let you display contour lines (the screen on the 830 might be on the small side for that to work well).

The Topo maps don't come with the Edges. You have to buy them.

The Topo maps are generally used by hikers. And the Edge units are generally used by cyclists.

Note that one gets updates for the Garmin Cycle Maps free. I believe you have to pay for updates for other maps.

  • Thank you dpawfyk

I am doing mountain bike (VAE) in the french alps

So I will buy the TOPO V6

    Thank you !   :))

  • You might want to check out the Trailforks stuff (which is on your 830).

    https://www.trailforks.com/garmin/

You might also look at (which requires some fee to use, I believe):

  • Ok, it was just a theoretical question, if buildings are shown on the 830. We should have get this info earlier Wink A new 830 etc. is sold with a preinstalled Garmin Cycle Map Europe (or other regions). It is not sold with a preinstalled Topo V 5/6 or other Garmin Topo maps. You have to buy these maps additionally. The Garmin cycle map does not have/show buildings - but there are some free osm maps, which does.

  • TOPO maps have never come with Edge units.  They only supply the cycle maps with Edge units that have mapping.  TOPO maps have always been maps that you have to buy separately.
