When I plug my Garmin into the charger, the timer often beeps and starts. Even though the Garmin is laying on a table, the distance field also changes even though I haven't moved the unit at all! I'll stop the timer and discard the information, but then a few minutes later, the timer will start up again.
Why is this strange behavior occurring? (And it doesn't happen all the time.)
