Edge 830 elevation data error on the 5th replacement unit, I want my money back

I had my Edge 830 replaced 4 times now and the 5th unit is also showing crazy elevation during the ride.. elevation increasing on flat roads.. and stuck at uphills... crazy.... is there a point replacing it for the 5th time???.. i think I had enough !!! (I have a 3 year old ForeRunner.. shows perfect elevation..).. Below is todays short ride... Edge 830 vs ForeRunner 935.. simply ridiculous !!!

Can I ask, in which country is the Garmin customer "support" based, that you're dealing with?

I'm surprised they let you have 5 replacements. When I my country (UK), they won't issue me with any replacement units (a different on going problem to yours).

HUN. Each time i had to leave the unit for testing... if there is a hardware fault, they must replace it

For more than a year there is such a problem. And garmin does nothing except for deleting users masseges.

I belive it's a SW problem

Typical that type drift happens if the unit has the barometric port blocked. Are you putting it in any type of case

Probably You got refurbished (or brand new?) units from a same (faulty revision) batch. I think it is the reason why You have same problem with 5 units (or You got back the same unit everytime, i can imagine it about the HU dealer ) and why some people has problem with barometer and some people has no (and probably it cant be fixed by new firmwares). I have 830 since 1 year too and flawless (from Germany)

They all worked fine for a few days and the incorrect elevation started after installing the firmware update, so i won't exclude a software issue... the first device affected was Edge 530.. it had been replaced twice... i upgraded to Edge 830 and the issue started again after applying the fw update... now this is my 3rd Edge 830 :)... I wonder if any of the paired sensors or the phone can cause Edge 830's software to slow down...

Hmm, it is very strange. What kind of sensors do You use? And phone? ( i bet, an Iphone). Did You try to record a track without any special sensors (so only HR and PWR and via ANT+, try to avoid BT with sensors too) and without phone connection (so BT phone connection in 830 off)?

With every sensor and phone disconnected the device still displays crazy elevation data.. Ex. I set the elevation at my current location to 120m.. in just a few seconds it starts to change significantly... goes up to 200+, other times it shows 40-50.. see video > tinyurl.com/46cwuku3
