Transfer routes from Garmin Connect to Garmin 830

I have iPhone and Garmin 830

I use Ride with GPS application

Last month I was able wirelessly transfer my Club routes from RideWitGPS to my phone and eventually to Garmin
Now Club created a new route and I wanted to transfer it to Garmin
Unfortunately it did not work this time!
First I opened Garmin Connect on my iPhone. I could see the route on phone. I confirmed that phone is connected to Garmin and sync service to Garmin is enabled.
I opened the route on Garmin Connect and sent it to devise. It claimed that sent was successful. Then I sync phone with Garmin. It also was successful. I opened my Garmin but I don’t see the route. I checked that Garmin is connected to phone and Wi-Fi.
Still not luck.
Could you suggest what could prevent transfer this time while it worked before?

Is the name of the route similar to another route on the 830?

Yes. The name is very similar

If the first 15 characters of the name are the same then the route will not transfer correctly. Has to be renamed.

I have the same issue only since the change to Software V8.0 and V8.1. Any new course I plan on Garmin Connect is not appearing in the list of "Saved Courses" on the Device. I see syncing activity on the device when I send the Course to the device and I get a "Download Complete" message but the course never appears in the list.

All other syncing is working (example: sending a completed activity to Garmin Connect works fine)

Anyone else have this issue?

The workaround suggested by RideWithGPS that I followed and it worked was the following: export route to private route, rename it and then transfer to device.
it worked for me

Thanks but that is not going to solve my issue as even "Courses" that I have created myself on Garmin Connect do not appear on the device after syncing... everything was working fine before the V8 software update... :-(

Are you using the Ridewithgps IQ app for the transfer? All pinned routes will easily transfer with the app.

No, these are routes I created myself on Garmin Connect. I don't use Ridewithgps

Have you tried syncing using Garmin Express and a USB connection?

Are your courses also similarly named? Editing these to unique names should resolve the syncing issues.
