Sensors re-connecting during ride

Hi Folks,

Anyone else experiencing sensor re-connecting during ride? I have had it happen 5-6 times on my last two-three rides. My mate, who also has an Edge 830, experience the same.

So I was wondering if anyone else in here has seen it?

Cheers and thanks ;-)

  • Yes, and the 3rd biggest problem with 7.10 (and with older and but with newer betas 100% too) is the GPS record duplications what i reported many times in the past here and on other "more official" channel but the Garmin programmers cant solve it somehow till now and You need to use a speed sensor on your bike if You want smooth speed chart and not a saw-shaped "puke". my yesterday 3hs ride has 75pcs duplication where there are 2 totally same GPS LAT and LON positions in 2secs in a row. (which is impossible because i was riding without stop...) and where these are duplications the speed chart (calculated from distance field) is a saw-shaped curve like below.

Here is the visual difference with speed sensor and without on same ride thx to this buggy Edge fw (this issue exist since Edge 510 so since 8 years minimum :D It is ridiculous btw :) and an evidence that the Garmin programmers are using the old Edge fw buggy core parts for "newer" units´ firmware without any modification and testing ... ) But we have idiot new features as gimmicks  , and the basic (data recording ) features are not working perfectly.. pathetic....,  ?

    And the "skipping record" issue:

  • For the record: on today's ride with fw8.00 I had multiple sensor dropouts... :-(

All via ANT+ and HR, DI2, Speed sensor, power...

    Come on Garmin...!

  • Yeah, i had just 1 dropout yesterday, i (still) had no more than 1 per activity (and not every day, it was the 1st with 8.00 since Sat)
