Sensors re-connecting during ride

Hi Folks,

Anyone else experiencing sensor re-connecting during ride? I have had it happen 5-6 times on my last two-three rides. My mate, who also has an Edge 830, experience the same.

So I was wondering if anyone else in here has seen it?

Yes, i noticed it too, usually i have 1 comm-chip reset during a 3hs ride with 7.10 (not everytime but very often).

My other problem is the "record skipping", i'm using 1sec recording and always have minimum 1 skipped record in the FIT file, so lets say the time stamps are the following: 10:23:21, 10:23:22, 10:23:24, 10:23:25. It was common problem in older Edge models (in 510 and 520 for sure, in Edge 1000 too) in the past, i dont know why cant the Garmin programmers code it properly and give high priority for the 1s data recording...

What sensors? Are they connected via ANT+ or Bluetooth?

ANT+ HR and PWR but the comm-chip itself is restarting, and gives You disconnect and connect message so with BT sensors the situation would be the same.

All sensors via ANT protocol. HR, DI2, PWR etc...

I have seen same behaviour since installing beta 7.19, which continues with beta 7.23. Are you using either of these beta versions?

I have seen this occasionally on 7.19 and 7.23 beta. Standard ANT speed and cadence sensors. I have not really looked at the data, only noticed the message that the sensor had reconnected. I never saw it before these betas.

Yes on those beta sw. - both of them. However my mate who is also seeing this is not on beta...

You should be reporting any issues seen using beta software to the beta software team at Garmin as they request on the beta software download page.

I assume, maybe too optimistic, that the Garmin development team reads this forum? Although sometimes I get the impression...

They may do but they specifically state on the beta software download page to send them details of any issues to a specific email address. That is the way they want beta issues to be communicated.
