No maps available on Edge 830

Hello, when installing Maps via Garmin Express I got the message of a successfull update. See printscreens. When using the device Edge 830 and going via Activity Profiles > Cycling > Navigation > Map > Map Information / Select Map there are no Maps at all on the device. Neither are there Maps available when navigating.

When connecting the Edge 830 a second time to the computer, the list with updates reappears (see printscreen) eventhough it first said everything was up to date.

Can someone help me out? Tx a lot! Tom

Hi Tom,

The update available on your last printscreen looks like a upate for the maps.

Click on details, you might see what kind of uodate you are dealing with

100% correct. See below for the printscreen. The problem is that I did the updates for the maps about 5 (!) times tonight, but they just keep coming back again and again. And unfortunatly, when I deconnect my Edge 830 from the laptop, there are no maps at all (!) on the device. So, I'l getting in a loop: the computer sais 'up to date' > 830 sais 'no maps' (empty screen) > the computer sais 'updates available'. Quite frustrating...

Ok, be aware that the update for maps can take quite some time. (eg hours)

Hello, meanwhile I'm stuck in another problem: stuck in a reboot on the starting screen:

I had this problem a months ago. I'm done with it: I'm sending the device back and buy Wahoo or Bryton.

Hi Celestynka, no. I had to send it back to Bikster.com and got a new Garmin 830. The new one is working fine.

celestynka What maps are you missing/what maps were installed on your 830 when you purchased it?

Finally, I’ve managed to install Europe map, which, seems like, was deleted during the software update. But it took me 5 trails, before the installation was successful. All the previous attempts were failing.
