Garmin 830 ate my ride file. Did not sync and now does not appear in ride history.

My ride failed to sync to Garmin Connect. So I went to the ride history on my 830 and selected the ride and then upload. The upload did not work, and now the ride has disappeared from the ride history on the device, and I don't see it in Activities when I connect it to my computer. Any chance of finding the file? It was an epic ride on new trails, and I would like to be able to do the same route. thanks

have you looked in activities folder?
is the file still there?

yes, I did, and it isn't there. The file was on the device, and I let it try to sync with the app for about 10 mins and it wouldn't complete the sync. It may have been still trying to sync when I went into the ride on the device and selected upload. And then it was gone.

I'd say, no chance to recover it. Probably the file was corrupted at some point

As Artem mentioned, little to no chance of recovery if the file does not exist on your device. If you're feeling lucky, you can try this - Retrieving Activity discarded or deleted on Vivoactive 4 - Garmin Connect Mobile Android - Mobile Apps & Web - Garmin Forums

thanks. I'll try one of the file recovery programs.
