On the Strava course integration issue, this came up on another thread.
If you use the Strava Route App then the course file you get has elevation data provided by Strava.
With the new course integration Strava does not currently send any elevation data to Garmin. They just send track points. Garmin is then pulling the elevation data from their own DEM data. This can result in the elevation profiles changing.
Garmin is working with Strava to get them to provide the elevation data when they send the course to Garmin Connect.
This seems to have been fixed. I turned the feature on again yesterday, created a new starred course in Strava and then switched my Garmin on. Hey Presto, the course was there with an accurate profile, a believable elevation gain, and on the road ClimbPro worked beautifullly.
