Cadence Sensor 2 issue

Hello, I'm having an issue with the Cadence Sensor 2.

I reads fine the values but at any ride, give me the maximum rpm extremely high (a kind of peak).

Somewhere I've read that this cadence sensor works using magnetic fields, sensing the relative rotation of the ambient magnetic field rather than using accelerometers. IDK, but this may be because…

UPDATE:

I've been in touch with the customer service and they told me it may be a faulty unit so they are going to send me a new one. Just to let you know! Many thanks for your time and you support.

any updates on this one ? i have got mine also where the cadence suddenly go over 200.

Hello Garmin replace mine and seems to work much better even if once a while i get the peak anyway... anyway today i’m getting the stages powermeter so i will use it as well for cadence.

well i guess the cadence sensor is the problem. I called garmin today and they can changed mine but need to wait for 3-4 weeks.

I’m testing the stages power meter and has the cadence sensor built it. It works very well with no peak so much more accurate than the garmin sensor... even with the replaced one i’ve had few times some peaks.
