no, it don't work, seems Garmin have a prob with their rollout servers, even Express shows a different Firmware when you install the fw manually and of course the official fw site of garmin shows wrong…

Factory reset for me after updating to 5.50. Went to add sensors, the device crashed and lost all settings. Great work Garmin!

i think so ..

i've swapped mine for an new device which is using firmware 5.20 and this new device says, when checking for an update, "No Update available"
probably is the update rejected ... probably Garmin can tell you more

Mine is also on 5.20.

I suspect the ‘no update’ message is due to the slow roll out of the update as is normally the case to reduce server demand. However, it may also be the case that they’ve stalled or pulled it. But if the latter were the case they’d also have removed the zip file in the link on the forum which they haven’t done.

What was the fault you were getting?

I want the MTB features on my gravel ride, but I don’t want to upgrade my 830 if it’s going to make it useless as I love the device and it’s essential motivation on my larger 30+ mile rides.
