Edge 830 not fully picking up Powertap pedals

My Edge 830 has synced with my Powertap pedals, but it seems to only be registering half the power. The pedals are fine, and the batteries are full, and my Forerunner 920XT watch has no problem fully measuring the power output. I've had the pedals on 2 different bikes and they are calibrated to the crank length each time. I would love to have my Edge read the power properly.

  • My P1 pedals using ANT+ seems broken. Only getting one pedal and 50% of my power on my Garmin. However, my Garmin sees BOTH P1 pedals using Bluetooth. In the CONFIG for the LEFT pedal there is a box to enter a number, to pair the left pedal with the right pedal using BT. So that seems promising. But not sure what number to enter. The BT ID doesn't work. Ugh. So close, but can't seem to pair the two together.

  • I've had a problem with my P1s recently of intermittent drop outs so I only get the read out from one pedal and it seems to take a while to double the output which makes doing intervals confusing/difficult!  Batteries in the pedals have full charge as the Edge says (when it detects them).  It's definitely an intermittent problem and I thought it was just my pedals, always using ANT+  So interested to see any solutions ...

  • I'm done with my P1 Pedals. The ANT+ radio seems broken. I do see both pedals via BT, but stupid Garmin Computers can only pair to either the L or R (not both), and then doesn't do the right thing to double the power. So they are worthless to me. I understand Wahoo head units will double the power. So if anyone is interested in these P1 pedals, let me know.

  • It certainly doubles the power on ANT+ but it seems to take a while to decide to do that so it's not great when the failiure is intermittent
