Edge 830 not fully picking up Powertap pedals

My Edge 830 has synced with my Powertap pedals, but it seems to only be registering half the power. The pedals are fine, and the batteries are full, and my Forerunner 920XT watch has no problem fully measuring the power output. I've had the pedals on 2 different bikes and they are calibrated to the crank length each time. I would love to have my Edge read the power properly.

Do you use ANT or Bluetooth? Did you try the other standard?
Did you check that you connected to the right (opposite of wrong, not of left) pedal? I know there are Pedals where you can mess that up. I think if you connect to the left and the right one is the master, you only get half the power?

As mentioned above check that you are paired over ANT. The BLE implementation requires each pedal to be paired, which the Edge will not support as you can only connect to one power meter at a time. This would result in you seeing power values that are half what you would except to see.

How do you change what the power meter is paired to, I have the same issue and can see Power tap pedals are paired using ANT+ but can't find a way to try using BLE. Although it sounds like it should be correct using ANT+.

Yeah. You def want ANT+. When you first try to pair a device that has both BT and ANT+, you'll see it twice, as a BT sensor or as a ANT+ sensor. You choose the one you want at that time. To change, unpair it then pair it again choosing which you want.

Ant+ is the way to go, i use Favero Assioma duo, with ant it only connect the left pedal, if i want bluetooth i have to connect both.

Have unpaired and repaired but there isn't an option for the method pairing, it just automatically pairs. Any ideas how to select ANT+ (have checked now and it I have BLE as paired)?

No that you have a BLE pairing disable that and try a new search. it should now find the ANT channel.

Check my post from 6 days ago. Once it's unpaired, wake it up and search for sensors. It will show up twice, as a BT sensor and as an ANT+ sensor. Pick the ANT+ sensor. You can't pick one and then change it. You have to pick the correct one first.

So have done everything suggested, but after unpairing, waki g back up, there is o ly ever 1 option. This is still the BLE. Do I have a faulty unit?

Have you got the SRAM AXS app? That’s where the pedal firmware is now updated from. Maybe see if there’s an update, install it, and then try unpair/re-pair again
