Anyone familiar with changing elevation with the 830? Sometimes up en down in a range of 10 meters. Sometimes enormous leaps by 100 meters

Could you both share the FIT files for these activities? I would be interested in taking a look.
We have added elevation improvements to the new Public Beta 4.19 for the Edge 830 (found here). We would like some feedback from reporting users here to see they also see improvement in elevation readings where previously showed an error/incorrect information.
Installed version 4.19. Started up the unit and adjusted elevation to zero (I live at sea level). Within 1 or 2 minutes elevation goes up to +9m then dropped 5 meters tot 4. After that it continuously fluctuates plus and minus 5 meters.
Jwvandijk - Your initial post, when did you record this activity and could you share the activity file for this activity?
Sure, how can I share the Fit file?
I think I know why the altitude measurement is not going well. It has to do with the temperature. When I go outside (inside where my bike is it is 17 degrees Celsius) the temperature drops (certainly today, brrrr). If I start cycling immediately, the edge 830 calibrates the altitude nicely, but within no time the altitude rises again because the edge cools down and he therefore suspects that I am cycling a mountain. This also happens during the coffee break. If the temperature is constant, it works fine.
With other edge series I didn't have this problem that bad. Perhaps the edge 830 has a different (new) algorithm to correct the altitude for the temperature differences during the ride.
Hi,
yes, the temperature and some breaks have impact on elevation issues.
Yesterday I did 60km bike ride (firmware 4.21) and experienced again elevation issues, especially at beginning and after each of break. I made a graph with comparison of baro and map elevation. In the middle of the graph - coffee break (unit was in warm place).
See how big are the differences.
