Rubbish GPS..HELP!!!

I have the Edge 830 and have tried everything to get the GPS to work correctly.

Have tried the 3 different gps systems but always get the same result. The blue line and directional arrow are never actually on the road i am using,can jump to parallel roads and is also at least 10 meters behind my actual road position..

I already have the Edge 800 and this works perfect.

has anyone had this as bad and been able to rectify it or just send the unit back.

I've got 4 or 5 rides over the last week on my new 830 and the gps track has been slowly getting better albeit not great. Compared to my old 820 the GPS track is garbage, but like I said it's improving. Hoping it continues to get better

You're not the only one experiencing these issues, especially when biking under any kind of foliage. You can compare your experiences in the following thread on this forum:

I really hope this will be improved upon in future GPS firmware updates.
