Elevation profile not working when following course

When I instruction the Edge to follow a course the elevation screen shows elevation profile of the course. However, as soon as I start riding, the elevation profile screen shows the elevation that I have already ridden rather the elevation profile that is coming along the course. I am wondering if this problem might have something to do with zooming the distance display on the elevation profile screen.

Seems like a likely software bug to me.

Has anyone else seen this of have any ideas?

Same here. It's a crap. Read somewhere, that Starva Summit needs to be subscribed to see entire elevation in front of you

Yes, same here. I posted about it previously since I couldn't understand what the elevation screen was supposed to show me:

I've seen similar using the elevation graphical field - even when following a course, it seemed to show me what I'd ridden (although even this seemed debatable!) rather than what was still to come. Not tested with 3.55 yet as I removed the field, but I will try again when I next get chance.

Same here! I tried 3.55 but it's not fixed. Shame on Garmin :-( To me, reliable elevation profile is one of the most important features of a device such as Edge. Come on Garmin guys, time to fix it or you will have another dissatisfied customer that will switch to Wahoo!

Could you post the course file you are using?

Are the rest of the course features working like turn instructions and "Distance to Destination". I want to check that the Edge is still processing the course when you look at the elevation page.

If you are off course it will switch to the standard elevation page.

Hello, yes, the remaining features are still working. I can see the course on the map and turn instructions are working. Also, I can see the 'distance to destination' is decreasing while I follow the course. It seems the issue is only with elevation profile graph. I have already sumitted this issue to Garmin, I have been contacted by a polish representative and then I provided more detailed explanation what was wrong.

I do not think it's an issue with the course - I loaded exactly the same course to my Forerunner 935 and the elevation profile on the watch was perfect. Please note that I imported the course with Strava Routes (to both devices).

When this basic feature is gonna be fixed!!! As soon as i press start button elevation profile dissapears and only ongoing profile is showed.4.10 installed and same crap

It's been over a month since I reported this issue to Garmin. I provided them extended details with additional description and screenshots.

They supposedly created a ticked for me that is still open but all I received so far was the generic responses like: we value your opinion, we will pass the details to engineering, we cannot guarantee anything... I am dissapointed.

I am having this problem now with my 830. Three years later someone please tell me there is a fix for this.
