How do I prevent the map from zooming out when stopping (or get it to zoom back to what it was before I stopped)?

Me too. It’s annoying. 

Exactly same behaviour here. Every stop u get the zoom way out (unusable) and need to rezoom again to the desired level.

I wanted to give an update on this issue.  It seems to have resolved itself (perhaps with the 3.50 update).  The map no longer zooms way out when I stop.  However, I now have a DIFFERENT map zoom issue.  Here's what is happening now when navigating a route:  (I keep the orientation at "North up".)

With Autozoom on:  The map zooms in as I approach a turn, from whatever I have it set to to 200 ft. in steps.  When I come out of the turn, it zooms out to 300 ft. (one step) and stays there.  It does not return to the previous zoom level, nor to a zoom level that shows the next turn.  I need to manually tap the "zoom out" button repeatedly to get back to where it was before I entered the turn. 

If I stop, autopause activates and the map stays at the current zoom level.  When I resume, autopause deactivates and the map stays at the current zoom level.  (This is expected behavior.)

With Autozoom off:  The map does not zoom in as I approach a turn and does not change when I stop/start.  (This is expected behavior.)

So I'll repeat my previous questions:

• Is this the correct behavior of the autozoom function?
• After exiting a turn, is there a way to get the map to automatically return to the zoom level I had before I entered the turn?  Should it do this?  Or should it zoom out to a level that shows both the next turn and my current location?

It is better than before (not zooming way out), but it is still frustrating/annoying to have to TAP-TAP-TAP-TAP the "zoom out" after every turn.

i have this exact same problem and drives me nuts (well this is sync is a hot mess)
