Stop Incident Detection Alert

For me it stopped when I disabled the phone connection. I am not saying it is (ideal) solution, but that is what i observed. I do not use phone connection anyway. I believe there is no other option to disable this at the moment - it is based on assumption that you want this feature to work so it keeps notifying you that it wont work, if it makes sense.

I seemed to get the notification only once, not repeated.

Just wondering, have you turned off incident detection on the Garmin unit itself?

It turns itself on for me as well. I've turn it off multiple times. I guess I'll just leave it on, but I can imagine my wife calling me asking if I'm OK every time it send a false positive...

This needs a fix... same thing happening for me

Major annoying to hear that beep on 10-15 min interval. Please take a look at this Garmin. 

Since I removed all contacts from the unit the alert seems to be mostly gone. 

For the time being this is my workaround until Garmin fixes their code.

As a temporary fix you can remove the emergency contacts from your phone, the Garmin Connect App will no longer send them to your device, and as a result will disable incident detect. The fix for this will come in a future update that is planned for early July.

I have the 830 and a 520 which both do it... Annoyingly I use the latter for mtb! I disable the Bluetooth on my phone. 

Very annoying and as it happens on the 520 I'm.not expecting this to be fixed anytime soon
