Latest 26.18 gives completely wrong climb rates. I run same roads many years and a few Garmins before. After the update the Edge 540 went a mess! Anyone else notice that?

I can confirm that also on my Edge 540!
Cheap 20 Euro bike computer could it better!
100% same for me! I was about to return my Edge 540 that I had been happy with, cycling hilly terrain multiple days a week. So it really just seems to be a software problem?
The same issue for me.
And - maybe related to it: when I'm on uphill with ClimbPro screen, being close to the hill top, maybe 50-75m, but still in the inclined part. Then, the climbpro gradient shows 0% and beeps that I'm done with the hill, while still having some distance to the peak.
I've found there's always been quite a disconnect from actual gradient, and previous garmin
eg where climb finishes
or gradient changes, but that was just out of sync
This issue i think is the instantaneous percentage gradient, Doesn't remotely match what the Garmin climb screen would indicate, on a section of climb what was 6-9%, the displayed figure was between 1-4%
Same voor 840. Read the thread there as well
I hope it is a SW problem they can fix soon but I don't see an official answer from Garmin.
It is a SW issue; there is an IQ app, Sensible Grade, that does the job much better.
Having the same problem here, I noticed this today on my Edge 540 Any official statement from Garmin?
Just noticed a software update, from 26.18 to 27.13 hopefully this fixes the problem.
Changelog mentions: "Improved altimeter accuracy with barometer outlier rejection"; does not look like grade percentage improvement to me.
