Map of Europe is too big to install

As the title already says. The entire map of Europe is too large to install. Unfortunately, I can only select a part of Europe (e.g. Central Europe) and not additionally e.g. Western Europe. This is very unsatisfactory for people like me who live near the borders of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
I could well do without the inaccurate Climbpro.
So back to the alternative maps again.
Garmin, it's disappointing!

    Seriously Garmin, it would be nice to have your official statement on the issue - do you plan to do something about it or not and you officialy recommend customers to use 3rd party maps or do some strange workarounds? Ignoring your community is not the best move, considering you're not a "cheap brand" but the one considering themselves as professional. 

    As you probably see disappointment comments are popping up as the bike season over the Europe is starting.

    How on earth is one supposed to install "Routable cycle map of Europe" to Edge 540? It is greyed out (even when no other maps are installed and there is 15.23 GB left on device) and there is no way to select sub-regions (West Europe etc. as mentioned in earlier posts).

    New Garmin Edge user here. Same experience. At first I thought "great, free map updates!", but when I noticed that this device is utterly under-equipped with memory and that I'm actually losing out by applying that update, I was very frustrated.

    Garmin really should improve their map installation tool to allow us to select more specifically which regions we need data for.

    There is a drop-down menu that allows selecting western, central, or eastern Europe.

    I also didn't see it at first. The UI isn't great.

    1. Sold my wahoo because of map issues when traveling. Got 540 solar and now this? I’m very tempted to skip to Karoo 3… what a joke.

    Can somebody please share those files: that is east, central and west .iso  ?  Just so I do not to go through all the fuss of downloading garmin explore app and installing maps one by one. I would love to just simply add two through files explorer
