Edge 530 doesn't keep his configuration; it asks new pairing with APP Connect after rebooting

Hi,

since one year, my Garming 530 (9.75 firmware) suffers of this problem: after powering on, it starts asking a new configuration steps.

Since it is already paired with APP Garmin Connect, in order to make it works, I need to remove it from the APP (so I lose the current configuration) and then I've to pair it again to APP.

I've done many reset but the issue has been not fixed. Now I've asked for RMA but I would like to know if someone has faced same issue on his Garmin device.

  • Mine is fine with 9.75 and iPhone.

    Perhaps try setting it up like a new device ie:

    Delete the Edge Bluetooth connection on the phone.

    Delete the phone Bluetooth connection on the Edge.

    In the GC App, remove the Edge as a device if it’s there.

    Reboot the phone and Edge.

    Start the pairing process again as per the Garmin Instructions.

    Pairing Your Smartphone

    Optionally, delete and re-install the GC app on the phone.

     

    The above steps are for the worst case, not all may be needed.

    The steps you reported are all those ones that I've to do once the issue happens.

    So I'm just re-initializing again the device.

    Then, maybe one day later, after powering on it, it starts asking the language and I've to re-initializing again.

    It doesn't keep the configuration Disappointed
