 download the firmare for your device 
 
 Download 1030 Plus - 6.79 
 Download 1030 - 13.79 
 Download 1030 Bontrager - 13.79 
 Download 830 - 9.79 
 Download 530 - 9.79 
 
 make a backup of your device before downgrading 
 
 unzip the downloaded file and read the "Read me.txt" file 
 To backdate: 1. Find the 'SystemBackdate_X.XX' folder and copy the "GUPDATE.GCD" file to the Garmin folder of your device. 2. Disconnect and install when prompted. Your device will begin the backdate process. Backdating software will revert your watch to factory default.
