Edge 530 - Adding routes to NEW FILES but not showing up in navigation?

I've been using an Edge for 10+ yrs and never had this problem. Last few weeks any routes I add to the NEW FILE folder never show up in the Navigation menu. Did something change in the way we add new routes? I've also STARRED them in Strava to try to sync them that way.

As GPX, FIT, or TCX?

If they just disappear, it’s generally because the format is off.

Other possibilities:

Course names not unique in the first 15 characters

Too many courses on device. Limit is 100.

10+ yrs doing it so it's not a format issue. Same routine as usual. But I'll see if maybe there is a wrong character in the title...maybe.

I'll have to ck the number of courses. I try to go through and get rid of older ones I don't use but maybe not enough.

Nothing has changed with the "way we add new routes" in "10 years" either.

It could be the number of courses (the 100 limit is old too).
