530 reboots during activity randomly

Having 530 updated to 9.50, attached 4iiii powermeter, hrm-pro chest strap, also I use BeerCount ConnectIQ field.

during a normal ride my garmin sometimes turn black and reboots.

I don't see any relations with the outside temperature (happened when outside was +30C or +12C too), length of the ride, or use of Navigation / Workout displays, it just started to reboot from time to time (I believe first time I saw it on 9.40 when I was riding 6h+)

I also tried to wipe - reset the device, didn't help.

    Same problem here with 9.75. Device worked properly with 9.50, with the usual sensor dropouts ;-).

    Two crashes on a 2 hour ride, each time in synch with an turn-by-turn instruction.

    It has happened to me just now for the first time.

    But, I was not riding, I was sat in house just testing out a route that I had uploaded to the Garmin to see if it was OK for the weekend. No sensors connected, just the course loaded and pressed start, checked all the data pages etc were OK and then it did a reboot.

    Cannot replicate it.

    So, is the issue related to sensor's entirely?

    Seems like a different issue. The one described here usually involves the Garmin unit stops receiving sensor (or sensors) data for a minute followed by a reboot.

    My Edge 530 9.75 is running stable after deactivating the notification sounds.

    Before it crashed each 30 - 45 mins, alyways while announcing a navigation hint.

    When you say notification sounds, do you mean mobile messages etc, Navigation or system ones such as dropped sensors or radar?

    Hi Amy, same issue on my EDGE 530, so ready to help with finding root cause and to get this sorted, so 1. Yes, 2. Yes, 3 Germany.

    • Select Menu > Settings > System.
    • Select an option:

      • To change the setting for alerts and notifications, select Tones. -> I switched these off. So far no reboots on tours.

    I'm seeing the same activity. It's been an issue for many months.  About every 5th ride.  Usually at the beginning of a ride it will cycle power 3 times and then everything is fine.  For the first time yesterday, it power cycled, just once, but 2 hours into my ride and 16 minutes into a 20 minute interval (I was struggling anyway, but still annoying).  Edge 530, 9.75
