No standard "cycling" default ride type?

Hi Garmin Forum,

I own an Edge 530 and up to now I mainly used gravel activity - now I wanted to create a new activity that records a standard cycling activity to Garmin Connect, but I can't find this default ride type on my Edge. Is it true, that the Edge 530 cannot record a default cycling activity? Why is this? Right now I only find road bike, commuting, mountain bike, gravel, cyclocross, indoor and e-bike but I want to have the default cycling option for riding to the bakery, friends, etc.

    That would seem like a commute to me - cycling for transport

    Thanks, I did not check the boards for the other Edge devices, the link you provided clarified the background somehow.

    Anyway it‘s kind of disturbing me but the case is very specific: GC automatically syncs to a third party app where you can collect points and participate in challenges where you can win gear after competing e.g. 40km of cycling. This third party app only considers the main category and not if there is a sub category added like for gravel. Maybe I need to raise a feature request on their side.
