Macbook not recognizing 530

MacBook Pro (15-inch 2017)

MacOS Monterey Version 12.3.1

Garmin Express Version 7.12.3.0

Garmin Express shows Edge 530 GPS (which was previously connected) "Not connected"

Edge is plugged in via cable and cable is working because the Edge is charging.

Garmin Express says "You have Items Ready to Install"

Your Queue / Synced Jan 4, 20022

Click on Install All.

Message is "Plug in your Device / plug in Edge 530 / searching" / it just keeps searching

Check on Finder, Finder does not show the Garmin 530.

I removed and reinstalled Garmin Express.

What else to try?  What happens if you reset Garmin Edge 530?  Probably lose all custom screens, locations?
