For those who upgraded from 130 model, it's just me or the screen is worse than the smaller unit? For me it's even harder to read with cycling glasses.

The display in the 530 is designed to readable in direct sunlight. If you are having issues reading the display in more shaded environments, we would suggest trying to alter your backlight settings.
Please…
I have always used my Garmin units, 510 and now 530, with backlight always on and now with 530 I enable auto brightness. With 510 I think I had it on one of the lower brightness settings. I don't notice…
Profile color has no effect on background color. I tried also the screen rotation but I have not noticed any difference, with or without glasses. Mine are not polarised. A slight improvement, as I read…
I was thinking that I have a defective unit but I see it's not the case...
I would go back to 130 but doesn't have too many options...
530 is good if sun shining direct on screen. If sun is at your back, I can't see numbers . Is to dark...gray blue screen. I went from 130 to 530 because of bigger numbers and screen. But now I have bigger numbers which I can't see..
Frustrating.
I don't know maybe we have defectiv units...who knows.

Please feel free to take a picture of the setting you are struggling with and add it to your reply, although I understand that it may be difficult to accurately capture this with a photo.
Thanks for your answer. I will try to take photo and sent it to you.
I will try all options...auto brightnes on and off and manual brightnes 90% and maybe backlite on all the time.
But this will consume my battery fast
It is recomanded to ride with backlight always on?
I think is not, because this will drain you battery
I wasn't meaning to recommend that. I was just meaning to acknowledge that some situations will require a backlight to make the display easier to read than others.
I personally have my brightness set to Auto and have a short backlight timeout, but there are a variety of combinations folks can try.
Yes I know . I check all options your device have.
Also with different angles.
As I wrote in direct sun is super. But that is all.
I can not fint option to manual press some button to call backlite on for next 30sec for example.
