Edge 520 would prompt calibration of power meter when first detected. Can the Edge 530 be configured to do that too?

Saves button clicks :) Regards

  • Yes, go to Settings -> Sensors -> Power Meter sensor -> Sensor Details.  There's a Calibration Prompt setting in there

  • Thank you! Arggh! I can't believe I missed that! Regards :)

  • Or, one click up to the Status screen and the calibrate prompt should be right there

  • the problem with this Calibrating promt message that only works if the unit is fully turned off and on, if You put it only to sleep with short power button pushing , it doesnt work, it was an old bug in Edge 1K too, and they couldnt fix it yet somehow (there are other bugs too with "sleep only" function, there is no training status uploading to GC, etc)

  • Same on 530..."calibration prompt" option has no sense :-) as it never pop ups ;-)

Garmin, can you please check how it  works e.g on fr935? Can you please do this same? :-))

  • Tnx Garmin! Now it is far better. Sometimes calibration prompt pops up whan it was alredy done manually, but in generall it works. I suggest to add small if - whan dev was already callibrated manually since current wake up, do not fire this...

  • yes, a bit better, it is working already with sleep off/on but very slow, i always have to wait almost a minute to get this pop-up message (the powermeter is continously active from  the start...) so not perfect. (lots of downloadings have higher priority i think and a few background processes and after these are finished then this message pop-up)
